The Calendar, visible on each page, can now be customized per section.

The Calendar behaves differently in most sections of the website now. On he homepage and in the news section, it’s integrated with the news log. In the document section, the calendar shows days in which documents were created. And in the Genealogy section, the calendar shows interesting individual genealogical events (birth, death, etc).

Each section can now provide a handler function, whose job it is to fill up an array of information for the calendar to display. This architecture makes things both simpler and more powerful.
