I just bought one of these digital cameras, and for the most part I’m quite satisfied.

##The Good

I love this new camera! The pictures that it takes are simply beautiful, and its integration with iPhoto from Apple is wonderful.In order to get it to work properly with iPhoto, you have to have it set to PTP mode (the manual says how to do this).

##The Bad

One of the main reasons that I bought this camera was the way it stores its images on CD. That is just awesome… CDs are ubiquitous, so there’s no issues with compatibility like there is with memory sticks.

Or so I thought.

For some unfathomable reason, Apple decided not to support the UDF volume format in OSX! What’s up with that!

I called Apple Support, and they told me to call Sony.

I called Sony, and they tell me that it’s a problem with the operating system that I’m using!

Could you two please get together and decide whose going to fix this and make sure it gets done!?!? I know I’m not the only Mavica owner with this problem.
