Emacs as a weblog interface?

I love it!

What fun to watch my referrer logs and watch the hits come pouring in from Scripting.com. Ok, it isn’t like I’m being overwhelmed here. After all, how many people are that interested in an Emacs/Blogger interface? I’m guessing not that many.

But that is just because they don’t understand that Emacs is similar to Userland’s Radio in that it is all about progressive revelation.

Incomplete Pass is the Least of Oakland’s Worries

Forget the call, they may loose their head coach.

John Gruden has told his agent that he won’t be back after the ’02 season. It’d really be a shame if Oakland looses such a talented coach.

Here’s what some other’s have to say:

B5 Fans mixed on Rangers

I guess I’m not the only one!

Many of the posts here are just way to harsh, but there’s some good insight as well. I’m just keeping my fingers crossed for a new series out of the deal. I mean, [[B5]] started with [[The Gathering]], a mediocre effort at best, and look what it got us: the best science fiction series ever put on television!

Babylon 5: Legend of the Rangers

Possible pilot for a new series, takes place a few years after the events of the main storyline in the original series.

##A good starting point

The [Lurker’s Guide](http://www.midwinter.com/lurk/guide/117.html) has way more information on this than I have. Look there if you want to know more.

The [[SciFi]] channel broadcast the first of its self-produced Babylon 5 stories, *Legend of the Rangers*, and overall it was a passable effort. The story was tight, the acting OK and the production values far surpassed the original series.

All in all, this movie is a good starting point for a series to launch, and hopefully it got enough viewers so that [[SciFi]] descides to move forward with it.

###The Weapons System

I’ve read a lot of stuff bashing the weapons system of the new ship. Personally, I think it’s a really cool idea that wasn’t quite pulled off in the movie, but that has great potential in the future. Take a look at this article on [The VRUI Weapons System](http://www.scifi.com/bboard/browse.cgi/1/5/2414/265.) It goes into great detail as to why what is portrayed is very accurate as to how such a system might be made to work.
