Does Cardinal Law Have His Head Up His Ass?

Every time he opens his mouth, he pisses me off more.

In his first legal response to charges that the Rev. Paul R. Shanley began molesting a Newton boy when he was 6 years old, Cardinal Bernard F. Law has asserted that negligence by the boy and his parents contributed to the alleged abuse.

This is just too disgusting for words. If you happen to read this Bernard… **IT’S TIME FOR YOU TO GO!**.

Stay tuned for a more coherent commentary.

Roger Ebert takes a look at Amadeus

This is a great review of a great movie.

There’s one fun note at the end of the review that’s worth a second read:

Note: The restored Director’s Cut of “Amadeus” opens Friday at the Landmark Century, and is in revival around the country. The one brief scene of Constanze’s breasts, in medium-long shot, has inspired the flywheels at the MPAA to re-rate the movie R from its original PG. Thus high school students are discouraged from seeing this movie. Our rating system is held hostage by sick crypto-moralists. Surely PG-13 would have been adequate to advise parents of this scene, while acknowledging that anyone over 13 in America who is alarmed by the simple sight of a woman’s breasts is in need of counseling (I include our attorney general).

So true! Rating this movie R while “The Scorpion King” gets a PG-13 while chopping the heads off his victims is just plain insanity.

Here’s an Analysis of Bill Gate’s Statements

Have you ever heard anything as arrogant as this?

Some you’ve heard before, and some you haven’t – such as the threat to withdraw Windows from market within six months [par 183], or the reclassification of Embedded Windows XP as “a set of tools”, not an operating system. Or the claim that Internet Explorer browser development costs Microsoft $100 million a year[par 234]. The latter we calculate as enough to employ over 1,000 engineers at current market salaries…

Perhaps the most extraordinary part of his written performance is its context. Remember: this is the plea for clemency from a convicted criminal. Microsoft was found guilty two years ago, and large parts of the conviction were upheld on appeal. The current hearings are being held to resolve the punishment.

If I was the judge, I’d tell Bill to go get stuffed. Where does he get off threatening the US Justice Department??

Microsoft Bastards In Action

A Microsoft executive told a federal judge that the company should be allowed to make changes in its Windows operating system that impair the performance of other programs so long as the company believes it is acting in the best interest of Windows users.

And how are they supposed to decide what’s in the best interest of Windows users? I guess that they just know better than the rest of us. Let’s face it, Microsoft **SUCKS** and always will

Tiger Is The Man!

He dominates his sport like nobody ever has.

It would be nice to win as many majors as Jack did, he said. That would be great. But if it doesn’t happen, it doesn’t happen. I think the thing I keep saying to myself every year … is that I want to become a better player at the end of the year than I was at the beginning.

God help the tour if he’s able to do that.

It’s Masters Time!

With the modifications to Augusta National, this will prove to be an interesting year.

It is an irrefutable fact that golf is changing. It still rewards shotmaking and those skilled in the art of creating shots of all sorts. However, today there is a premium on hitting it deep, and worrying about the consequences later.

The modifications to Augusta sure seem to support this. Adding 300 yards to this course with its difficult greens is making the course play more difficult than it ever has.
