This is the best performance the US has ever had.
How many of you are excited about the possibilities, and the accomplishments of this team?

In a game of rough play and questionable calls, the US gets a 2-0 victory against bitter rival Mexico.
An early goal from Brian McBride set the tone, and goalkeeper Brad Friedel was again a key man for the Americans.

You got that right. If you didn’t watch the game, shame on you. But if you did, you know that Friedel played like a Jedi Knight… able to predict the future and therefore react with amazing speed!
Next stop… the Germans.

More later.
And when he looks strong, everybody better watch out.
On a chilly, yet benign Long Island day, [[Tiger]] sidled up to those who performed well in the morning, surpassed them in the afternoon, fell back by the evening, but closed the day on top.
Poland spanked the US in the first round finale (with a little help from the referee).
The United States suffered defeat at the hands of Poland at Daejeon World Cup Stadium in Korea Friday but still advanced to the second round thanks to Korea Republic’s victory over Portugal (0:1). USA will next face Mexico in the round of 16…
If the US team plays to its potential, it should get to the round of 8. It’s beat Mexico 3 out of the last 4 times they’ve met.
Today starts the 101st US Open.
Can [[Tiger]] get the second leg of the grand slam this week?
YEAH! Where do I sign up for an early order?
In case you haven’t heard, Joe Straczynski has officially confirmed that Warner will be releasing the first full season of BABYLON 5 on DVD this fall, as a boxed set. JMS promises to add commentary to at least two episodes– probably [[Signs and Portents]], which introduces Mr. Morden and the Shadows, and [[Chrysalis]], the first-season cliffhanger. He’s also considering adding commentary to the time-travel tripper [[Babylon Squared]], as well as some sort of video introduction for the set.
The best SCI-FI series to ever be on television will finally get the DVD release it deserves!!!
It’s easier than ever to switch from a Windows PC to a Mac.
[Mark Fauenfelder:](http://www.apple.com/switch/stories/markfrauenfelder.html)
Using my PC was like being stuck in a bad relationship.
Yep. I feel your pain. Trust me, the Mac is the ONLY way to go.
[Damon Write:](http://www.apple.com/switch/stories/damonwright.html)
The only catch? It was hard to sell my PC with integrity. Because when people asked me why I wanted to sell it, I couldn’t say, “It’s because I’m getting a Mac, and Macs are so much better.” You can’t just say that to people who are about to buy an inferior product, now can you?
When was the last time your computer seduced you?
Most people around the world gave the US little chance of advancing to the second round.
But amid a finals festival beset with surprising results and an unbeaten run for sides hailing from the historically unfashionable CONCACAF region, The United States have earned themselves four hard points after tough matches with European powerhouse Portugal in Suwon and rampaging co-hosts Korea in the southern outpost of Daegu.
France gave up the World Cup faster than Paris is WWII!
France become the first defending champions since Brazil in 1966 to fail to advance to the second round of the FIFA World Cup™ as they fell to a convincing Danish side 2-0 in Incheon, Korea.
Unbelievable!
In a game clearly dominated by the Koreans, US goalie Friedel comes up with monstrous saves to preserve a tie.
Ahn Jung Hwan’s second-half header cancelled out a slick Clint Mathis strike as the Group D upstarts split the points in the red cauldron of Daegu, Korea. The home side very easily could have won the match as they not only had a Eul Yong Lee penalty saved by Brad Friedel, but they created far and away the greater number of chances.
You can say that again! The US will have to be sharper against Poland if they want to advance to the next round!
