More reorganization. Now the family articles have been
moved into the [[Musings]] area, and the
“Family Picture Album” into [[Genealogy]]. I think this
makes a little more sense. Also, I got a better
summary mechanism going for [[Musings]] as well.

Flik’s an ant sent on a mission to find warrior bugs to defend his colony from evil grasshoppers.

When I hear that Pixar was going to make another computer
animated feature, I couldn’t wait. I actually saw a trailer for this film
some time around April of this year. The subject matter couldn’t be
better. The only question I had was, could they pull it off again? They
did. *A Bug’s Life*, although no Toy Story in terms of its story,
delivers a wonderful tale full of adventure, thrills, and mind boggling
animation that sets a new standard for the industry.

##The Magnificent Seven

Flik’s ant hill is in trouble. Hopper’s (the evil grasshopper) annual
tribute of food has been lost, accidentally by Flik just moments before
Hopper shows up to collect. What’s an ant colony to do?

Flik comes up with what he thinks is a great idea. He’ll go out and find a
bunch of warrior bugs to come back and protect the colony.

Wonderful tale of a pig that yearns to be a shepherd. It’s amazing what can be accomplished if you put your mind to it.

So what’s the big deal anyway? There’s this pig. It talks. I
needs to learn how to herd sheep or it’s going to be Christmas dinner.
Nobody likes him (except the border collie that decides he needs a mother),
and all the other animals think he’s crazy. Not only that, everyone thinks
his owner, farmer Hoggett, is crazy too. So what’s a pig to do?

Babe has to go to the big city to try and save farmer Hoggett’s farm.

The first time I saw [[Babe]], I was confused.

##What a year!

Thanksgiving is probably the quintisential American holiday.
It’s a time of reflection about the past year, what’s been good, what’s
been not so good, how can we make things better next year.

##The Lists

Here’s some things I’m thankful for this past year (in no
particular order)

* Our “New House News |title=New House” !!!
* My wonderful “Family”
* Good [[And let your best be for your friend]]
* My job (after a near 50% reduction in force, I should be thankful!)
* My health (both mental and physical. There were times this year that I thought I wouldn’t make it! See “When Life Throws You a Curveball”, [[Do I dare to eat a peach?]])
* The economy seems to be picking back up again
* What a pleasure it’s been to see [[Babylon 5]] wrap up
* I’m playing my {glossSub(“Music”, “saxophone”)} again!
* My kids love their new home
* We have a Milkman just like the good ‘ole days 🙂
* I won the company “Golf” league this year.

Things to work on next year:

* It’s time to get on an even keel
* It’s also time to work on enjoying life a little more. We only get to go on this ride once, so we better enjoy it the first time!
