Mac Fanatics?

All I can say to this article is, *duh*!

There are 25 million people around the world who use Macintosh computers, according to Apple. But unlike ordinary personal computers, people don’t simply use Macs, they become fans. They develop a passion for the machines, which can sometimes turn into an obsession.

Having been one of those loyalists for years, it’s easy to explain why… they are just better computers. Period.

To Mac users, Apple represents everything that Microsoft isn’t. Apple innovates; Microsoft copies. Apple puts out solid products; Microsoft puts out buggy ones. Apple represents creativity and individuality; Microsoft represents business and conformity. Apple is the scrappy underdog; Microsoft the big, predatory monopoly.

And I guess that’s true too… they are not [[M$]]. [[:-)]].

Trekking into Oblivion?

This review of Nemesis seems to think that the film is a total waste

In all, Nemesis is a creative disappointment. With other genre pictures of late leading a new wave of sci-fi/fantasy creativity, Trek seems more archaic and less sophisticated than ever. I honestly doubt that non-Trek audiences will find much of interest here. Here’s hoping the “good” films switch to the odd-numbered films next time around.

Say it ain’t so!

Hot Dog reviews TTT

These last few weeks are going to be torture!

THE TWO TOWERS supasses all levels of expectation, and in the process it makes everything that THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING achieved look tame by comparison.

Lord God Almighty! Can this be possible? It’s what every fan has hoped for, but didn’t believe could be done… out strip an already perfect work of film and blow past it like it was standing still!

Where do I go to stand in line [[:-)]].

Oscar for Gollum?

It’s a beautiful statue, my preciousssss…

There was never any Oscar buzz for the performances of Jar Jar Binks or Dobby, but New Line is hoping that Gollum will be up for an acting Academy Award in March.

Now, wouldn’t that be a hoot!

From what I’ve gathered from around the web, Andy Serkis gives an incredible performance and will probably deserve at least a nomination.

We likes, we does!

MS: Don’t Trust MS!

According to Microsoft, you can’t trust Microsoft to supply secure software!

Not was enough that recent vulnerability in IE that can run any program in an unpatched windows system. Now there is another related to an ActiveX control that can make IE and IIS to run any code in the system. The Microsoft solution? kill the related ActiveX control and replace it with a safe one. The Microsoft problem? As this control is Microsoft signed, any site can require it, upload it and replace the “good” one with the vulnerable one. The final recomendation from Microsoft? Don’t trust/run ActiveX controls signed by Microsoft.

The truth really is stranger than fiction!!!
