Need a quick test…
This is just a **quick** test.
Buffett, Clinton: Keep estate tax
From [CNN.com](http://www.cnn.com/?eref=rss_topstories:)
Hillary Rodham Clinton argued Tuesday for keeping the inheritance tax in place, saying it is a key to ensuring the United States remains a meritocracy.
Uhh….. is it even possible to twist that statement to the point where it makes sense? Let’s see.
The estate tax has been historically part of our very fundamental belief that we should have a meritocracy, that we do not want a system – where we expect people to make it on their own – to be, over time, dominated by inherited wealth… That we do believe that people should have to get out there and make their way, to a great extent.
Oh. I see. It’s the government’s job to take away the money that I’ve earned over the course of my life because my children aren’t deserving. Talk about social engineering! This is my basic problem with the Democrats… they think that everything that is mine is really theirs.
Scientist: ‘Arctic screaming’ about melting
From [CNN.com](http://www.cnn.com/2007/TECH/science/12/11/arctic.melt.ap/index.html:)
An already relentless melting of the Arctic greatly accelerated this summer, a warning sign that some scientists worry could mean global warming has passed an ominous tipping point. One even speculated that summer sea ice would be gone in five years… This week, after reviewing his own new data, NASA climate scientist Jay Zwally said: “At this rate, the Arctic Ocean could be nearly ice-free at the end of summer by 2012, much faster than previous predictions.”
This is quite alarming. If it’s true, we’re going to be in for some serious devistation.
