Is extra length really the way to ‘Tiger-proof’ a golf course. Growing the rough out may be a more effective, and fair, way to put the teeth back into many tour tracks.

I’ve been saying this for years. The way to ‘Tiger-Proof’ a course is to bring the rest of the field into the competition by **shortening** the course and make the rough more unforgiving. Duh!
