‘Reversing the Curse’ is a winning tale

[Boston Globe — Living / Arts News](http://www.boston.com/news/globe/living:) “Like the first Red Sox title in 86 years, Dan Shaughnessy’s new book almost didn’t happen. After the 2003 season came tantalizingly close to triumph, the veteran Boston Globe sportswriter and author of the 1990 bestseller _The Curse of the Bambino’ began chronicling the 2004 season that many Sox fans believed might finally be _the year.'”

Final appeal in Schiavo case

[Boston Globe — Front Page](http://www.boston.com/news/globe/pageone:) “WASHINGTON — The parents of Terri Schiavo, the severely brain- damaged woman who has been slowly dying since her feeding tube was removed Friday, appealed last night to the US Supreme Court to have the tube reinserted.”

Please… just let her die in peace. Nobody, and I mean nobody, has any business in what’s going on in that family except the family itself. The President… The Pope?!?!?! Please!

The Catholic church has a position on life as follows:

From the moment of conception until natural death, human life is sacred.

Let’s analyze this for a second. There are four possibilities that need discussion:
# Natural Life
# Natural Death
# Unnatural Life
# Unnatural Death

Now, in cases 1,2 and 4 I don’t think there’s much discussion. All of this is about number 3. I know, the religious right will have you think that Terri is being murdered, but the fact is that she is being kept alive in an entirely unnatural manner. There is no Terri left in Terri’s body. She’s a zombie, pure and simple, and there is nothing sacred about keeping her suffering by keeping her alive.

Let her go.

King Kong Wraps

[Sci Fi Wire](http://www.scifi.com/scifiwire/:) “Principal photography has wrapped on Peter Jackson’s upcoming King Kong remake in New Zealand, and more than 1,000 people celebrated at a party on the film’s elaborate 1930s New York set in Seaview, Lower Hutt, N.Z., on March 19, the New Zealand Dominion Post newspaper reported.”

I can’t wait for this!!!
