Here We Go Again

Yet another huge company was fraudulent in their revenue reporting.

A shareholder files a securities fraud suit against AOL Time Warner, alleging the world’s largest media company artificially inflated online advertising revenue.

So where do we go from here? I think it’s obvious… if a **company*’ is found guilty of fraud, the ‘*board of directors** should be held responsible and prosecuted.

Are We Becoming a Police State?

The Office of Homeland Security has made me nervous since its inception.

**Homeland*’ is just way too close to ‘*Fatherland** for my comfort. And now this!

Civil libertarian John Gilmore today challenged as unconstitutional a secret federal rule that requires domestic US travelers to identify themselves.

Now I’m getting **very nervous**.

New iPod and iMac

Finally, a reasonable size screen on an iMac, and iPod just got very affordable.

Apple Computer CEO Steve Jobs on Wednesday defended the company’s switch to the Mac OS X operating system and unveiled new iPod digital-audio players and a new flat-panel iMac.

YEAH! I think I know someone who’s going to buy one of these [[:-)]].

Savor the Moment

Fans should savor the possibilities with Tiger this weekend. I know I can’t wait.

One minute we’re handing him this third leg of the Grand Slam. The next, we’re trying to figure out ways to take it away.

Go figure.

You got that right. I absolutely love how he’s dominating the sport. I feel like I know what it must’ve been like to watch Jack in his prime, or see Ali box in his. It’s a special time in the golf world.

The 50 Worst Shows?

This week’s TV Guide lists the 50 worst TV shows in history.

Among them is [[Hogan’s Heroes]]!!! How can this possibly be? That show was just brilliant. And when you realize that most of the cast was Jewish (including Klink, Hochstetter, and Bulkhalter [[:-)]], and especially LeBeau who was a holocaust survivor!!!), the joke gets even better!

Muirfield Set Up For Shotmakers

Is this another pre-ordained win for [[Tiger]]?

Of course, Woods, the best player on the planet, still has the advantage in the 131st Open championship. He has the advantage anywhere he tees it up. But he has more honorable company on the contender list at Muirfield, where the winds, whins and bewildering number of bunkers can wreak havoc.

[[tiger_hook]] All of that is true, but take a look at this picture taken at [[The Masters]] this year on the 5th hole. Believe it or not, he made that shot, up the hill, out from under the trees with a 30 yard hook, nothin’ but green.

If the British Open is set up for shotmakers this year, can there be any question who has a huge advantage? Couple that with [[Tiger]]’s ability to play in high wind, and you might as well just give him the win right now.

Mac Users Have Bigger Brains!

Those who surf the Web using a Mac tend to be better educated and make more money than their PC-using counterparts, according to a report from Nielsen/NetRatings.

The study also said Mac users tend to be more Web savvy, with more than half having been online for at least five years. And the Mac faithful are 58 percent more likely than the overall online population to build their own Web page and also slightly more likely to buy goods online, according to the report.

I’ve known that for years!
